FORESTERIA

Foresteria is on the last floor of the Palazzo Barocchi.
We chose the name Florentine River House as it was one of the
constructions on the river’s edge and was home to many Noble
first Florentines and hosted many writers, art historians and artists.
In fact the apartment is a typical Florentine home with its
large stairwell, interior kiosk, and its multilevel nature that
many Florentine homes have due to centuries of additions and
divisions within its walls.

One example of the effect history has on these great buildings is the great hall and covered loggia. Originally they were open to the elements. The archways and the stone columns attest to this. We invite our guests to experience and live the great sala and view the changes the river offers during the course of the day.
